Soros Fellowship For New Americans

The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans provides opportunities for continuing generations of able and accomplished New Americans to achieve leadership in their chosen fields. SIT Study Abroad Scholarships

SIT Study Abroad awarded $750,000 in scholarships in 2010. About one-third of scholarship applicants receive financial assistance to participate in our programs. Only SIT Study Abroad participants can be considered for SIT Study Abroad scholarships. Awards generally range from $500 to $5,000 for semester programs, and $300 to $3,000 for summer programs. Financial need is a primary consideration for all of our scholarship decisions.

John F. and Anna Lee Stacey Scholarship Fund for Art Education

In accordance with the will of the late Anna Lee Stacey, a trust fund has been created for the education of young men and women who aim to make art their profession. The scholarship, known as “The John F. and Anna Lee Stacey Scholarship Fund,” is open to United States citizens only, both men and women, single or married, irrespective of race creed or color. The age limit is between 18 and 35 years. Appointments will normally be for one year and the amount available for distribution will approximate $5,000.00. At the discretion of the Committee, this may be awarded in quarterly installments to one or more applicants.

National Sculpture Society Scholarships

Scholarships of $2,000 each are available for students of figurative or representational sculpture. Scholarships are paid directly to the academic institution through which the student applies. The educational institution the student attends must be an accredited U.S. institution. Please note that work that is inspired by nature – or figurative or realist sculpture – is preferred.

National Sculpture Society Internship

National Sculpture Society is a non-profit organization, founded in 1893, dedicated to the support of realist sculpture through exhibitions, publications, and education. Internships are geared to the interests and skills of the individual and are flexible in terms of hours and responsibilities. Interns receive a salary thanks to a fund established by Charlotte Geffken, for whom the internship is named.

American Swedish Foundation

The American-Scandinavian Foundation (ASF) offers fellowships (up to $23,000) and grants (normally $5,000) to individuals to pursue research or study in one or more Scandinavian country for up to one year. Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

In order to be eligible for this program, applicants must meet all of the following criteria: Spoken communication must be the applicant’s primary mode of communication. Hearing loss must have been diagnosed before the applicant’s fourth birthday. Hearing loss must be bilateral and in the moderate to profound range. Applicants must have an unaided Pure-Tone Average (PTA) of 60dB or greater in the better-hearing ear in the speech frequencies of 500, 1000 and 2000 Hz. Applicants with cochlear implants meet this eligibility requirement. Unilateral (one-sided) hearing loss does not qualify.
